Cleaning House
Meet Malcolm. A young man who learned too soon that life is very unpredictable and that nothing is guaranteed. After being raised in the church, he only ever witnessed his single-parent mother treating others the way that God instructs us to; with love and compassion. But after tragic events he learns that his mother is one of those rare Christians that honor God’s commandment of love. Malcolm is hurt very badly by the people in the church he grew up in, which causes him to turn away from God. It wasn’t enough that his mother had God’s heart. The hurt he endured outweighed his mother’s teachings. As he journeys through life he begins to allow his emotions to cloud his judgement and clutter his spirit. Instead of running to the Father to heal his broken heart, Malcolm leans on himself and looks for comfort in the wrong person. It’s not until "life" strikes again that he realizes just how messy his house has become. But is it too much of a mess to clean? Has he taken on a bad habit of hoarding his pride and feelings to the point that it is now a sickness? Has the mess caused him to spiral out of control?
