As a lifelong educator, Linda Winikoff has always believed in the power of the written and spoken word. After graduating from college with a degree in Comparative Literature, Linda chose to continue her studies and became a reading specialist and reading researcher.  With this career path, she helped children learn how to read and also enjoy what brought such meaning to her life. Currently Linda works with the Winston-Salem CDF Freedom Schools where culturally relevant literature is used to instill empowerment, a love of reading, and social, cultural, and historical awareness. Her support of the Royal Curtain Drama Guild allows her to continue to share her belief in the power of the written and spoken word to empower, create awareness, and raise up all members of our community.
